Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a devastating and unpredictable disease of the central nervous system, which is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves. MS is thought to be an immune-mediated disorder meaning that the immune system mistakenly attacks the healthy tissue in the central nervous system. According to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, nearly 1 million people are living with MS in the United States. With the continued collaboration of MS organizations, scientists, donors, and people living with the disease, the medical industry is getting that much closer to a cure for MS.

MS awareness is important to Orange County local, Len Cavers, therefore he and his team have committed to riding their bikes an impressive distance supporting Bike MS. Len and his team will be riding from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico which equates to an impressive 1,414 miles. This organized bike race raises more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised over $1 billion. Each year, over 6,000 teams comprised of nearly 75,000 cyclists, ride together to change the world for those with MS. The funds raised at this event provide cutting-edge research and offers critical services to ensure people affected by MS have the resources they need to live their best lives.

Len’s wife, Debbie, is the team's assistant. She will be trailing their ride in the all-new Mazda CX-90 which is fully equipped with bike gear and maintenance tools. As of now, Len and his team have raised $1,575 which is $1,175 beyond his goal! Thanks to Tustin Mazda for supporting Len and his team by making a $400* donation.

An Update from Debbie Cavers: The Mission Possible team has now made its way toward Point Magu, following the coast. Soon Len will ride to the Mexico border, then the team will have a final gathering of friends and family at a park in San Diego for a celebration! The vehicle, however, is coming back to Tustin Mazda for it's 5k service. What an adventure!
